District Elder Dwayne Shepherd, known as “a
man after God’s own heart”, spent his
childhood in Fresno, California. In 1976 he
came to San Diego, California and two years
later was baptized in Jesus Name and filled
with the Holy Ghost at Greater Apostolic
Faith Temple Church by the late Bishop
Charles L. Taylor.
After spending time being taught the
principles of the doctrine by Bishop Taylor,
Minister Shepherd was called to the ministry
and received his State license in 1984, his
National license in 1987 and was ordained as
an Elder in 1994 during the
California District
Council.
His educational credits include an Associate
Degree in Business, a Graduate of
Aenon Bible College
in 1991, and a Ph.D. from International
Apostolic University in 2001.
Elder Dwayne Shepherd was appointed the
Pastor of Greater Apostolic Faith Temple
Church in July of 1998 working under the
senior Pastor, the late Bishop Charles L.
Taylor. In December of 1998 when Bishop
Taylor went home to be with the Lord, Elder
Shepherd became Pastor and President of the
Greater Apostolic Faith Temple Church, Inc.
In February of 1999, Bishop Henry L.
Johnson, Diocesan of the 16th Episcopal
District of the California District Council
officially installed Elder Shepherd as
Pastor of Greater Apostolic Faith Temple
Church..

Pastor Shepherd is a devoted
husband to his loving wife,
Sister Selina Shepherd
and father to their two daughters &
son-in-law; David & Delena Hubert and
Zarinah Shepherd. .

Apostolic Doctrine and feed God’s
